Spiess TC 522

Spiess is not a company you'd expect to be dabbling in the new hypercar market, the German company were better known for manufacturing industrial electrical transformers. But in the late 80's and early 90's this exotic market where money and wealth had to be shown, they put its hat in the ring with this. It ticked all the hypercar boxes, mid engined (5.7ltr V8), turbo's (2), top speed of 211mph, 0-60mph in 4 seconds, 500bhp, 6 gears and plenty of this new fangled carbon fibre.

Only a single prototype was built in 1992 its fate, along with many other almost built hypercars, was the recession and its huge price tag. It does have some cool lines though a proper meld between the wedge from the 80's and the more sedate look of the 90's. In fact it wouldn't look out of place at a car show today!!!!!!
