Add to that the attendee’s from the wider VAG community, with Audi very well represented (more on that later though), SEAT, Skoda and Porsche
One common strand that ran through the newer metal was stance. With
air-ride, stretched tyres and huge wheels, whether that be in the club area or
the show ground. The Scirocco below was just awesome-
The show had its usual feel, relaxed with catch up’s, “I used to have
one of those” and appreciation, all while basking in the sun (the last 3-4
years it’s rained at some point). Surprisingly the with such a good turnout of
punters guarenteed the Autojumble was only small this year, although I did find
a bargain of a front wing for my Rocco so can’t complain too much about it.
Highlight of the show, this has to be the easiest one for a long time
despite the quality of cars on show that where credits to their drivers and
builders. Club Audi had a gem of a car, the Audi Jaray "Ugly Duckling" on
loan from Audi UK. It truly was a site to be seen, and one hell of a surprise,
as it backed out of its transport truck. I told you I was there early. What I didn’t
expect was how large it would be, standing nearly 6’ tall yet quiet narrow, but
more on that in a future post I think.
Another great show and a big thank you for the organizers for fantastic
event, already planning to attend next year
