It takes a lot of guts and commitment to take a brand new
Jaguar XK140, one of the most beautiful cars eve built, and restyle and re-body
it. However the car designing wing of the styling company Loewy were up to the
task. After all it had designed several Studabakers including the Avanti.

Lynx XJS Eventer
You’d think looking at the fantastic execution, that the
Eventer was available through a dealership built by Jaguar, however these sports estates were
all custom built to order by Lynx.

Jaguar Mark 2 Estate / Country
Now let’s just start be saying I really, really like this conversion.
The way it’s taken that iconic styling and then grafted the rear on whilst
retaining those perfect curves.

Jaguar Kensington
Okay you’re Jaguar and just had the
massive hypercar hit that was the XJ220 however the rest of your line up is
looking a little dated, so what do you do? Hell get styling house Italdesign to
come up with a saloon concept that blends the shapes of the XJ220 and adds in a
few more doors. The result I think you’ll agree is very striking, particularly
in the mundane jelly mould days of the early 90’s.

Jaguar XJ13
When most
people hear Jaguar, mid-engined and V12 in the same sentence they instantly
think oh what the XJ220, or rather what could have been the XJ220. However
Jaguar had its first crack of the mid-engined recipe back in 1966!!!!

Railton F28/F29
Reviving a
British marque that had not been produced in 40 years was the plan behind a new
company in the 1989 set up by ex Aston Martin designer (he designed the
Bulldog) Sir William Towns. They took a Jaguar XJ-S convertible and basically
rebodied it in aluminium, taking the aging 70’s styling and giving it a fresh
sleek styling with the V12 and 285bhp retained. The idea was to compete with
Aston Martin and Bristol in the luxury sports car market.Monday, August 26, 2013
Random Picture: 6 Wheeled Jaguar XJS
Not been able to find much out about this 6 wheeled Jaguar but it certainly is unusual so ticks that box for inclusion on here.

Avon Jaguar XJ6 Estate
When launched in 1979, Avon saw possibilities with the Jaguar XJ6 and in 1980 at the British Motor Show it showed its estate version. And why not, Mercedes had shown that a luxury estate would sell. It was such a revelation that it won the first prize and a gold medal in the International Coachwork Competition. To create the hatch back a hatch from a Renault 5 was grafted on. The result was a load bed of 6’ 7” and over 58cuf of space. They even offered for an additional £475, child rear facing seats making this a 7 seater people carrier, how very modern. 1990-92 Jaguar XJR-15
When you think of Jaguar super / hypercars one springs to mind the XJ220, am I right? A little know hypercar that Jaguar produced before the XJ220 was the XJR-15. A true race car for the road built in collaboration between Jaguar and TWR: JaguarSport, partially to distance it from the forthcoming XJ220 (first produced in 1992). When I say a real road racer how does a car based on the 1988 Le Man’s winner, XJR-9, using most of its running gear, V12 and chassis as its starting point sound!!!!.
