Innocenti Mini
What do you call a Mini when its wearing a Bertone styled
body? The Innocenti Mini. Now you’d be expecting this to be an alternative from
a separate company offering a “modernised” Mini which by 1974 was 15 years old.
But this alternative was effectively offered by British Leyland who built the
Mini at the time and owned the very Italian sounding marque Innocenti.

Maserati Khamsin
Now this it a footnote in Maserati sports car production,
not only was it the first Bertone styled Maserati but more importantly it’s the
only true wedge the company ever produced. It may have been a Kneejerk reaction
to the ground breaking Lamborghini Countach, styled by Marcello Gandini of Bertone,
only a few years before who also penned this.

Chevrolet Corvair Testudo
In the early
60’s American car manufacturers were reaching out to embrace more subtle
styling and Bertone of Italy was the man to go to for that much desired sophisticated
European look. In 1963 he produced this rear aircooled boxer engine tilting
roofed concept and I’m sure you can see a few styling cues borrowed from a few
other cars. I can definitely see E Type Jaguar in there which is not bad thing
as well as hints (just look at those rear air intakes and over all shape) of
the yet to be built Lamborghini Miura also designed by Bertone.Tuesday, July 9, 2013

Bertone Mantide
First unveiled in 2009 via sneal peaks on YouTube as Project M, the styling compant Bertone took a Corvette ZR1 (at that time the "King of the Ring") and added a new body over the chassis. Increasing its performance at the same time, both by tweaking out 638bhp out of the supercharged V8, to reducing the weight by 100kg and increasing the all aspects of the aerodymaics from drag coefficent to downforce.
