Lancia Fulvia Sport Zagato

Based on the Lancia Coupe’ mechnics and built by the legendary Zagato and penned by Ercole Spada as fastback 2 seater. First produced as the Series 1 in 1965 it featured an all-aluminum body with a series of engine options. The most powerful being the 92bhp Sport 1.3S. From concept it was always designed to go racing.

Yes I know it’s a saloon from the 80’s by Giugiaro's built for Lamborghini as a possible way to go in the future. It’s bland and to be honest very boring looking for a Lamborghini concept, however the concept its self has an interesting history with a few famous names attached.

Lancia Thema 8.32

So in the 80’s you wanted a Ferrari but needed something more practical but still with Italian flare hey well in 1986 Lancia had the car for you. The luxury came from the range topping executive car, the Thema, the flare the Ferrari engine under the bonnet. The 8.32 stood for V8 with 32 valves.

Covini B24 Turbocooler

We’ve already covered the more recent 6 wheeled Covini 6CW, this though harks back to the start of the company. Unveiled at the Geneva Car Show in 1981, it was built as an experimental mule to test new car technologies such as air-liquid cooled intercoolers. It was also fitted with a diesel engine which at the time made it the fasted diesel powered car of the time when it hit 200kph!!!!

Lancia Flavia Sport Zagato

I first saw this very car below at the inaugural Indoor Classic Car Showin Manchester in 2011, unfortunately the poor lighting meant all my pictures turned out rather fuzzy!!!! So just think of my delight when at a resent show it turned up again, and what’s better the lighting was perfect. So here it is the Lancia Flavia Sport, what caught my eye were those rear windows scooping up into the roof line.
